A game for thinkers needs a commissioner who thinks

In 2001, the Houston Astros fired Larry Dierker, though he had led them to several division titles. As a long-time Houston fan, I had survived numerous setbacks. Though Enron/Minute Maid Field almost broke me, I endured. However, this I could not let slip. Sadly, I decided to declare my free agency status as a fan. I mailed Houston a letter informing them of my departure. I then selected a variety of teams I felt suited my needs as a fan.

The only team that replied to my letter was the Philadelphia Phillies. I've included the letter I received from VP Shenk and the reply I sent back.
